Synthetic Hydraulic Oil and Marine Lubricants

Britannia supplies synthetic hydraulic oil, engine oils, stern tube and gear oils, and marine greases for commercial and leisure vessels, working with operators, boatyards, marine engineers and chandlery resellers.

Synthetic hydraulic oil is increasingly specified for marine steering gear, winches, cranes, stabilisers and deck machinery because it resists water ingress, holds viscosity across a wide temperature range and extends drain intervals on equipment that is difficult to service at sea.

Deck machinery and propulsion

Our marine range covers synthetic hydraulic oil for deck and steering systems, medium and high-speed diesel engine oils, stern tube lubricants, open and enclosed gear oils, and water-resistant greases for winches, davits and bearings.

Environmentally acceptable lubricants are available for vessels operating under discharge restrictions or in protected waters, supplied with the documentation needed for compliance records and port state inspections.

Supplied UK-wide and internationally

We supply on trade terms in 20 litre drums, 205 litre barrels and IBC quantities, with delivery to yards, marinas and port agents throughout the United Kingdom and export options for international customers.

Vessel documentation and delivery

Marine operators work to tight port schedules, so deliveries are arranged against sailing dates and agent details rather than a generic window. We supply to commercial quays, boatyards and marina berths, and can consolidate an order so a vessel receives engine, gear, deck and grease products in one drop.

Safety data sheets and product specifications are issued with each order for the vessel record, and where a manufacturer approval or class requirement applies we will confirm it in writing before despatch. For fleets, we can standardise products across vessels to simplify stores and keep crew handling straightforward.
