Rotary Screw and Reciprocating Compressor Fluids

Compressor oil in VG 46 is the grade most rotary screw installations run on, and running the wrong one is the usual cause of carbon build-up and short separator life. Britannia holds 13 compressor fluid lines covering rotary screw, reciprocating and vane compressors.

The range spans mineral and full synthetic formulations in ISO VG 32, 46 and 68, from Shell, Wolf, Eurol, Petronas and TotalEnergies, in 1-litre, 4-litre, 5-litre and 20-litre packs.

Service life is the real cost

Compressor fluids are bought on service interval rather than on price per litre. A mineral fluid changed at 2,000 hours and a synthetic rated for several times that will look very different on a purchase order and very similar over a year of running, once downtime and disposal are counted. We will quote both against your duty cycle so the comparison is on the same basis.
