Synthetic Hydraulic Fluid and Turbine Oils for the Energy Sector

Synthetic hydraulic fluid and turbine oils supplied by Britannia for UK power generation and wind energy assets

Britannia supplies synthetic hydraulic fluid, turbine oils and specialist lubricants for power generation and renewable energy assets, including wind turbines, gas and steam turbines, hydro plant and standby generator sets.

Synthetic hydraulic fluid is widely specified across the energy sector for its oxidation stability at high operating temperatures, long service life and reliable cold-start performance, all of which extend maintenance intervals on turbine pitch and yaw systems, hydraulic power units and braking systems.

Built for long service intervals

Changing fluid on an offshore or upland turbine is expensive, so specification matters far more than unit price. We supply synthetic hydraulic fluid in the ISO VG grades required by the major turbine manufacturers, alongside turbine oils, gearbox oils and greases for pitch and yaw bearings.

Fire-resistant and environmentally acceptable lubricant options are available where site risk assessments or environmental consents call for them, with technical and safety data sheets supplied for every product.

Supply and scheduled delivery

We work with energy operators, OEM service teams and maintenance contractors, supplying synthetic hydraulic fluid in 20 litre drums, 205 litre barrels and IBCs, with deliveries scheduled around planned maintenance windows anywhere in the United Kingdom.

Documentation and site records

Every consignment is supplied with technical and safety data sheets, and batch details can be provided where asset management systems require them. For sites working to internal reliability programmes, consistent product records make it easier to track fluid condition against service history.

We also supply gearbox oils, greases, cleaning fluids and flushing oils used during major component changes, so a planned overhaul can be covered on a single order rather than sourced piecemeal. Where an asset is being recommissioned or moved to a different lubricant regime, our team can review the OEM recommendation and advise on compatibility with what is already in the system before anything is changed.

To price a specific grade or set up a scheduled supply arrangement, contact our team with the equipment, specification and volumes involved. If you are unsure which synthetic hydraulic fluid an asset requires, send us the OEM manual reference and we will confirm a suitable product.

For volume requirements, see our wholesale hydraulic oil supply page covering drum, barrel and IBC quantities.
