Hydraulic Fluids

Hydraulic Fluids for Industrial and Mobile Systems

As bulk hydraulic oil suppliers to UK trade customers, Britannia holds 26 hydraulic fluid lines covering the viscosity grades and performance classes that industrial and mobile equipment actually calls for, rather than a single house grade.

The range runs from ISO VG 22 through to VG 150, in mineral anti-wear (HM / HLP), high viscosity index (HV / HVLP), zinc-free, full synthetic, biodegradable and NSF H1 food-safe formulations. Brands stocked here include Castrol, Shell, Wolf, TotalEnergies, Valvoline and febi, in 1-litre, 5-litre and 20-litre packs, with drum and IBC quantities quoted to order.

Choosing the right grade

• ISO VG 32 — colder running conditions and systems specifying a lighter fill
• ISO VG 46 — the standard grade for most UK plant and workshop equipment
• ISO VG 68 and above — higher operating temperatures and heavier loads

If you are matching a specification rather than a grade, our ISO VG 46 hydraulic oil reference sets out how the HM, HV, HLP and HVLP classes relate to each other and what a current datasheet should cite. Volume buyers should start with our wholesale hydraulic oil page.

Pricing is quoted per enquiry against grade, pack size and volume. Send us the machine or the OEM specification and we will confirm the right fluid the same working day.
